Prof Subas Chandra Parija of Odisha to take over as the Director of the prestigious Jawaharlal Institute of Post-graduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), the second most important health instiution in the country after All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).
After finishing his MBBS degree from SCB Medical College in Cuttack, Prof Parija did his post graduation at Benaras Hindu Univesrity (BHU). He went on to receive a DSc degree from Madras University.
