Odisha Police is all set to launch a new mobile application that will provide services available on its Citizen Portal to the public. At least 13 services like lost property registration, tenant/paying guest verification request, among others will be provided through the app which is expected to be operational by the year end.The online Citizen Portal, launched under Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems (CCTNS) project, has been supporting access to information, request for different police services, lodging of complaints, FIR copies among others.
The State Crime Records Bureau (SCRB), nodal agency of the CCTNS, is developing the mobile app which will offer all the services. “The free services which are available on the Citizen Portal will also be provided without any cost on the mobile app,” an SCRB officer told this newspaper.
