The house owners of the twin city have to submit detailed information about their tenants in a declaration form to the concerned police station of their respective areas in every two months. They can also provide the information to the police through e-mail. If any house owner is found to have furnished wrong information to the police, he/she will have a six-month jail term with a fine of Rs 1000. We have asked the house owners to submit the above information within 10 days after the rules come into force from April 8 next
Taking note of rising incidence of criminal activities in the twin city of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack in Odisha, the commissionerate police have made a mandatory provision for all house owners to furnish the details of their tenants.
