Bhubaneswar Railway Station to have WiFi by Jan 2016 by Google

Bhubaneswar railway station to go WiFi from January 2016. Work on deployment of the Wi-Fi network has already commenced and will provide high-speed internet connectivity to the passengers.

The facility would be extended to 28 railway stations under ECoR in a phased manner covering all by the end of 2016. Cuttack, Sambalpur, Balasore, Bhadrak, Rayagada, Jajpur-Keonjhar Road and Khurda Road will be among the major stations to provide Wi-Fi services to the passengers.

The programme is a part of the tie-up between Central PSU RailTel and internet major Google to provide high-speed Wi-Fi connectivity at 500 major railway stations in the country. In the first phase, 100 stations including Bhubaneswar would be connected by January 2016.
