Xavier University Bhubaneswar (XUB) is proud to announce a two year full-time post graduate program in urban management and governance under the school of Xavier School of Human Settlements (XAHS) with the humble guidance of Dr. Fr. Antony R. Uvari, S.J (Vice-Chancellor, XUB) and Prof. Kajri Misra (Coordinator, Xavier School of Human Settlements (XAHS)) on the 19th of September, 2019.
The Xavier School of Human Settlements (XAHS) is focused on developing and transferring knowledge about building sustainable, liveable and inclusive cities and communities. It endeavours to achieve the social transformation it envisions, by building the professional capabilities of the state, civil society, and corporate initiatives, institutions and organizations engaged in working towards progressive socio-economic change. It also offers programs to develop planning and management expertise for public systems.
The event will see Mr. Om Prakash Mathur (Senior Fellow & Head Urban Studies, Institute of Social Sciences, New Delhi) delivering a key note address.
The event will also witness several industry veterans namely Dr. Mr. Dinesh Mehta (Former Director, UN-Habitat), Mr. Om Prakash Mathur (Senior Fellow & Head Urban Studies, Institute of Social Sciences, New Delhi), Mr. Shankar Arumugham (Chief Operating Officer Strategic Consulting, JLL India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh & Nepal), Mr. Jagan Shah (Senior Infrastructure Adviser, Department for International Development (DFID)), Mr. Shrinivas Kowligi (Partner, Ernst & Young), IAS (Retd.) Dr. Mr. Sudhir Krishna, (Former Secretary Urban Development and Former Chairman, Fifth Delhi Finance Commission, Govt. India), Mr. Durga Prasad Duvvuri (Independent Management Consultant Professional, Mumbai) and Mr. Dev Bhattacharya (Group Executive President and Business Head, New Ventures, Aditya Birla Group) who shall enlighten the audience with their wise words in support of the new institution.
XAHS aims to create professionals needed for sustainable urban and regional development in rapidly transforming geographies.

Xavier University Bhubaneswar (XUB) was established in accordance with the Xavier University Act 2013 and was inaugurated on the 7th of July 2014.
