The festival that celebrates the victory of good over evil, that marks the end of all sufferings & brings a new ray of hope to this world is Dussehra. The name Dussehra is derived from Sanskrit Dasha-hara literally means Dashanan ravan referring to Lord Rama’s victory over the ten-headed demon king Ravana. The day also marks the victory of Goddess Durga over the demon Mahishasur. But if we think practically, there is no messiah who is going to turn up to end the hardships & sufferings in this world. It is we who can contribute in every small way to become the “Durga” & “Ram” of today.
