After facing a lot of flak over the lack of clarity on the eligibility criteria for aspiring candidates who want to take part in the four-day special recruitment drive beginning here from September 17, the Odisha government today announced that candidates from all engineering and technical colleges and universities in the state can take part in the job fair.

Taking note of the disquiet among the prospective candidates, Technical Education & Training minister Sanjay Dasburma today ordered department officials to publish a revised notification making it clear that B Tech, M Tech, B Pharm, MBA and MCA pass outs from any college and university in Odisha are eligible to take part in the recruitment drive.

The original notification, it may be noted, had stipulated that only graduates from colleges affiliated to the Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT) are eligible to participate in the job fair.

The revised notification in this regard would be published soon, the department said today in a press release.

The student community has welcomed the decision of the minister.

More than 19,000 students have already registered their names to participate in the job fair.

Odisha pass-outs in B.Tech, M.Tech, B.Pharma, M.Pharma, MCA & MBA starting from passing year 2000 and having no backlog can register for the recruitment drive.

The registration process would continue till September 10 and the applicants can register their names and other details by logging in to http://cpcdtet.nic.in/Nijukti.aspx.

Those aspiring to take part in the proposed recruitment drive will have to pay Rs 100 each online for registration.
