Spain-based Business Initiative Directions (BID) has selected Odisha Pisciculture Development Corporation Ltd (OPDC), for international star award for leadership in quality (ISLQ) in gold category.
OPDC will receive the award in a ceremony in Paris, France during June, 27 and 28.
Incorporated as a state government undertaking in 1998, the OPDC Ltd has been involved in the commercial activities mainly in fish seed production, fish net manufacturing and fuel trading.
The corporation has become a viable state public sector undertaking since 2010-11. The gross turnover of the corporation during 2014-15 was Rs.73 crore with a net profit of about Rs.70 lakh.
