AIIMS Bhubaneswar published the final selection list of around 90 faculty members. The selection will help AIIMS start services in super-specialities such as neurology, cardiology, cardiothoracic and vascular surgery, gastroenterology, urology, nuclear medicine, surgical oncology, medical oncology, neonatology and paediatric surgery besides strengthening the existing departments. At present, AIIMS has 60 regular faculty, 66 on contract, 55 senior residents and five tutors.
From now open heart surgery would be done in AIIMS Bhubaneswar, which would result in patients getting affordable yet very effective treatment. Initiated with a vision by the Union Health Minister on Sunday, specialists in cardiac, CTVS department has been appointed on Tuesday.
