19 students of DAV Public School, Chandrasekharpur, have been selected for the scholarship of Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY), the national programme of fellowship in Basic Sciences. Abhishek Sahu of the school bagged first position in the State and eighth in All India level.
Results of the final round of KVPY, conducted by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, were published on its official Website on Saturday.
The selection process involving two rounds of examination entitles the qualifiers to get direct admission to Indian Institute of Sciences to pursue research and scholarship till the completion of their higher studies.
