Realizing that beaches around the globe are littered with rubbish carried across by the ocean. From buoys and fishing nets to the mundane shampoo bottles, cigarette lighters, plastic bottles, bottle tops, plastic toys and shoes.The epidemic is everywhere, but in the relentless tide of rubbish, ISF is making whimsical attempt to use art to educate public about ocean trash.
As a festival for change, artists at India Surf Festival are inspiring ideas to confront this epidemic and turn this washed up material into art.
Beach cleaning and trash collection has started at Surfing Yogis in order to turn trash into a classy installation before the festival.
