Bollywood music director and singer Amit Trivedi’s performance in Coke Studio at Xpressions here on Sunday received a deafening response from the audience.

Performing at Xavier Institute of Management’s, Bhubaneswar (XIMB) annual cultural fest Xpressions, Trivedi started off with ‘Raham’ and followed it with the popular song from Dev D, ‘Nayan Tarse’, which set the mood for the evening. The audience too joined in chorus.

Some of the songs sung by Trivedi and band at the concert are ‘Kinare’, ‘London Thumakda’ and ‘Badra Hawa’ from Queen, ‘Pardesi’ from Dev D, ‘Pareshaan’ from ‘Ishaqzaade’ and ‘Iktaara’ from Wake Up Sid.

These performances were alternated with the songs composed and sung by him in Coke Studio.

The highlight of the event was the finesse with which Trivedi and his band interacted with the audience. Every song was interspersed with adequate engagement with the audience, which heightened the excitement. He also engaged the boys and girls in the audience in a duel on a song ‘Naariyan’.
