Utkala Dibasa celebrations at UP Sangeet Natak Akademi had an hour-long classical Odissi and contemporary performance by Masako Ono, an Odissi dancer of Japanese origin, and a traditional Goti Pua dance.
Greeting the people of the Oriya community on the occasion of Utkal Diwas (Odisha Day) on Friday, Governor Ram Naik said a similar fest bringing the folk culture and food of Maharashtra together should be celebrated on May 1 as Maharashtra Day.
