Odisha government will start hovercraft service between temple town Puri and Sun temple Konark, a stretch of 34 KM, by first week of next month.
A plan has also been drawn to introduce water surfing in Puri, develop Stand Up Paddle(SUP) Boarding and island hopping in the magnificent Chilika lake to attract domestic as well as international tourists.
Odisha Tourism and Cultural Minister Ashok Panda said keeping in mind various islands in Chilika lake, the government has planned to add Island Hopping to promote tourism in the state.
