Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan joined along with 15,000 Yoga practitioners at Janata Maidan on 3rd International Yoga Day

“Yoga is the incredible contribution of Indian saints and it has become a people’s revolution in the whole world”, said the Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas (I/C) Sri Dharmendra Pradhan to more than 15,000 Yoga practitioners while attending as the Chief Guest of the 3rd International yoga day celebrated at Janata Maidan today.

Sri Pradhan also said that due to the effort of the Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi the UNO has declared 21st June as the International Yoga Day. While the Prime Minister took the leadership in the International Yoga Day from Lucknow, 173 countries also joined this celebration simultaneously. Around 175 crore of people of the whole world have been trying to apply the ancient theory of Yoga to keep their body and mind healthy and for leading a healthy life, he said.

Adding to this he also said that, Yoga is not only a physical exercise, but also maintain a strong relation between mind -brain with the body and helps to live long with peace.

Various institutions of the capital, social organisations, Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan and the members of NCC with some aware citizens gathered together today morning at 5.30 am at Janata Maidan to join this yoga camp. In this event live telecast of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speech from Lucknow was also aired.

MoPNG and some PSUs under MoPNG organised this mega event at Janata Maidan. 6 successful Mt. Everest mount rings from ONGC and 6 international athletes of BPCL were also felicitated by Shri Pradhan in this event.
