Grace A Meal an initiative by The FoodFindo Network organised its first Grace Luncheon on 17 July in Cuttack, Odisha. FoodFindo Network which includes a 40,000 strong Foodies of Bhubaneswar-Cuttack and FoodFindo Facebook food communities, started this initiative to include the food enthusiasts, restaurants and hotels for the benefit of the Food Insecure.
Speaking about the initiative Rohit Srivastava, Founder, The FoodFindo Network said that “All this while we undertook activities and events for the foodie community and our impact was very much limited within the 40,000 foodies. While we get to try & eat the best our city has to offer, there are many who are not even sure when they will get their next meal. This initiative was for such food insecure and a small way how we gave back something to the society.”
Moti Mahal, Tandoori Trail, Cuttack partnered as the first partner to this initiative and generate 86 meals. 43 meals were contributed by the diners and equal number of meals were pledged by the restaurant.
The meals were distributed at Asha Ashwasana School & Daya Ashram in Cuttack. Grace A Meal is currently adding more restaurants to its network.
