ErosNow, Eros International’s over-the-top Bollywood entertainment network, has tied up with Ortel Communications, a multi system operator (MSO) and ISP, to offer a subscription based movie streaming service called Ortel Broadband Movies. Ortel will get access to ErosNow’s library and stream it for its broadband users across TV, PC and mobile. For Eros, it will mean added users on its platform.
Ortel users will also be able to listen to music and other content in Indian languages. As a promotion, the service will be available to all Ortel broadband customers for free for a month, along with one month’s free subscription to ErosNow. Ortel operates in Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and West Bengal.
Eros launched its online movie streaming service Eros Now in March 2012.
