Contractual Doctors in Odisha get a hefty pay hike this Diwali

The Odisha government today announced a Diwali bonanza for all assistant surgeons and specialists and medical college teachers appointed on contract basis against vacant posts in the state in the shape of a hefty hike in their consolidated monthly remuneration.

As per the government notification, specialist doctors working in rural and urban areas of KBK (Kalahandi-Balangir- Koraput) districts will now get a monthly pay of Rs 50,000 and Rs 45,000 as against their existing pay of Rs 30,000 and Rs 25,000 respectively.

The state government has also revised the monthly consolidated remuneration for teachers appointed on contract basis in different government medical colleges and hospitals.
