Odisha trying to jump on the bus for Skill based Training in Colleges

Odisha government decided to introduce vocational courses in Plus Two and Plus Three levels from this academic year (2015-16).

The courses to be introduced at the Plus Two level are Tourism & Travel Management; Fashion Technology; Office Management; Banking; Automobile Technology; Dairying; Printing Technology; Horticulture; Domestic Electrical Appliances; Information Technology; Mobile Technology and Paramedical Healthcare.

The courses included at the Plus Three level are Financial Literacy & Banking; Domestic Electrical Appliances; Fashion Technology; Food Processing and Preservation; Horticulture; Information & Communication Technology; Modern Office Management; Printing Technology & Desk Top Publication; Paramedical Healthcare and Travel & Tourism Management.

These courses will be introduced in all government and privately run colleges in the state. While 12 vocational courses will be introduced at the Plus Two level, 10 such courses will be introduced at the Plus Three level.
