National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela has started the admission process for its Master of Arts programme. The institute has invited applications for M.A. in Development Studies for the session of 2015-16. A total of 30 seats are available for the upcoming academic session. The interested and eligible candidates may apply online according to the prescribed format.
Eligibility criteria: The candidates should have a degree from a recognised university in any of these disciplines- B.Tech, B.A., B.Sc or B.Com. They should have a minimum score of 50 percent or 5.5 CGPA on a scale of 10 in their qualifying degree.
Selection procedure: The candidates will be selected on the basis of a written test and/or an interview round.
Application procedure: The candidates are required to apply online at the official site of NIT Rourkela, www.eapplication.nitrkl.ac.in. No hard copies of the application will be accepted. The candidates should carry a signed copy of the application form and copies of all certificates HSC (Class 10) onwards, on the day of selection.

- June 3: Publication of list of applicants
- June 5: List of applicants shortlisted for the written test and, or interview published
- June 15: Written test and, or interview round
- June 19: Publication of list of selected candidates
