An amount of Rs 20 crore will be spent to provide Wi-Fi facilities in six universities, 46 government colleges and 23 non-government ones in Odisha in the first phase of a smart campus scheme.
With this, educational institutions would have smart classrooms, e-library and communication-cum-language laboratories from the next academic year. Later, the facility would be extended to more colleges and varsities. Officers of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd, which would execute the project, have started survey in state-run institutions.
