Around 35 students along with four teachers of SAI International School, Bhubaneswar is in the United States for a 15-day long sojourn. They left for the US on April 19 and will return on May 3.

The students will be visiting the Farmington High School in Connecticut and the Highland High School in Kentucky. They will engage themselves by exchanging thoughts and ideas.  The student exchange programme promises to have a great impact on the lives of the participating students, both in the short-term and for the rest of their lives.
The programme would prove to be an excellent opportunity for the students to gain new interests and also gain an appreciation for diversity, which is all the more important in India.  Students will get an opportunity to visit the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), which is the American government agency responsible for civilian space programmes as well as aeronautics and aerospace research.

At NASA, the students will have the chance to ask a veteran astronaut about his experiences and what it is like to launch, live and work in space. The astronaut will be presenting a personalised presentation and will also answer questions that students have on their minds. Another worthwhile experience the students will remember for a lifetime is bound to be their participation at the Disney Youth Education Series at the Disney World, where they would indulge in creative thinking and open mindedness. It would also gauge their leadership skills to a great extent. Needless to say, the students will also have a day out at Disneyland, the biggest amusement park of the world and are going to have a whale of a time.
