2nd Annual Research on Cities Summit (ARCS 2.0) on Knowledge Systems for Livable Settlements organized at Xavier University Bhubaneswar

The 2nd Annual Research on Cities Summit (ARCS 2.0) on “Knowledge Systems for Livable Settlements” was organizedon February 16-17, 2018 at Xavier University Bhubaneswar. This Annual Conference by the Xavier Center for Urban Management and Governance, witnessed sharing of research and experience on planning and management of human settlements and urbanization in India.
The 2nd ARC Summit brought people together from diverse background on one common platform empowering the change through Knowledge Systems for Livable Settlements.
The conference will consisted of Dr. Sameer Sharma (Additional Secretary, MoUHA, GoI), Shri Partha Mukhopadhyay(CPR, New Delhi), Prof. Ashok Kumar(School of Planning & Architecture, New Delhi), Dr. T.R.Raghunandan(Arghyam, Bangalore), Prof. Chetan Vaidya(former Director, SPA Delhi), Prof. Dr. Annapurna Shaw(Public Policy Management Dept., IIM C), Prof Mahalaya Chatterjee (CUES Kolkata), Prof Meera Mehta(CEPT,Ahmedabad), Prof R.K.Panda(Dean School of Infrastructure, IIT Bbs), and Mr. Hitesh Vaidya(UN-Habitat India), who shared their research and experience, the aim is to stimulate creation and facilitate exchange of knowledge on the development of safe, sustainable and just settlements.
Before this two-day Conference, a series of urban events in form of “Unnovation” was conducted on 15th February 2018. The events included,Debate Competition, Case Study Competition, and City Trivia.
