Changu Dance is one of the famous tribal dance forms of Odisha. Changu is a rural variety of the tambourine, a musical instrument. It is played by the male-members of the Bhuiyan, Bathudi, Kharia, Juanga, Mechi and Kondha communities of Sundergarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and Phulbani.
ଓଡ଼ିଶା ସୁନ୍ଦରଗଡ଼ ଜିଲ୍ଲାର ବଣାଇ ଉଚ୍ଚ ପାର୍ବତ୍ୟଅଞ୍ଚଳର ଅଧିବାସୀ ହେଉଛନ୍ତି ଭୁୟାଁ ସମ୍ପ୍ରଦାୟର । ସେମାନେ ଏହି ନୃତ୍ୟ ପ୍ରଦର୍ଶନ କରନ୍ତି । ପ୍ରଥମେ ଯୁବକମାନେ ମିଳିତ ହୋଇ ଚାଙ୍ଗୁ ବାଇଦ ବଜାନ୍ତି । ଏ ବାଦ୍ୟର ଅହ୍ବାନରେ ଯୁବତୀମାନେ ଆସି ନୃତ୍ୟସ୍ଥଳରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହୁଅନ୍ତି । ସରଳ ସାବଲୀଳ ଭାଷାରେ ଗ୍ରାମ୍ୟକବିଙ୍କ ପ୍ରେମ-ପ୍ରଣୟ ଭିତ୍ତିକ ଗୀତ ଗାୟନ କରାଯାଏ । ଏହାର ତାଳେ ତାଳେ ନୃତ୍ୟ ପରିବେଷଣ ହୁଏ ।
ଗୋଟିଏ ଗାଁର ଯୁବକ ଯୁବତୀମାନେ ଆର ଗାଁର ଯୁବକଯୁବତୀମାନଙ୍କ ସହ ମିଳିତ ହୋଇ ମଧ୍ୟ ନୃତ୍ୟ କରନ୍ତି । ଏହି ଅବସରରେ ଯୁବକମାନେ ଯୁବତୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ବିଭିନ୍ନ ଉପହାର ଆଣି ଦିଅନ୍ତି । ଏହାର ପ୍ରତି ବଦଳରେ ଯୁବତୀମାନେ ଯୁବକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଖାଦ୍ୟପେୟ ଦେଇ ଆପ୍ୟାୟିତ କରିଥାଆନ୍ତି ।
